Our chapter

Our chapter is located in the north of Kyushu, the most southern of the four main islands in Japan. It embraces the territory known as Oita prefecture, therefore its name. The office is located in Beppu City, 24 Km of the capital. It was founded in 1979 by Michiko Takagawa, our actual chapter president. We have hosted more than 80 students as of 1999, and over 50 have left the chapter for a stay abroad.
